Default Blood pressure 'switch' found on human body...

Quote:
Chicago, IL: A recent study conducted by the Hypertension Center at the University of Chicago identified a small spot (the "Atlas area") on the body that appears to control blood pressure. In minutes, a single touch lowers blood pressure back to healthy levels. Top number drops 14 points, bottom number drops 8 points. No drug on Earth can match this instant miracle. Who knew it was this simple? Itís almost like a switch that allows doctors to dial down your blood pressure in minutes.

I sooo want to check this out. Mine has been inching up there and would LOVE to see it back to the 120/72 range.

Anyone ever heard of this or would be willing to try it?

Hmmm, interesting. I can believe it, but would like to see more studies done with more than one practitioner.

I can't find too much on it. Maybe there is a reason: drug companies??

Drug companies certainly support drug research, Innergie, but they can't actually squelch other people's research. Additionally, drug research and chiropractic have nothing to do with one another.

If you are interested in testing it for yourself, go see a chiropractor. Have an adjustment (they always adjust the atlas, anyway), and have the DC look at your BP before and after the adjustement. Easy way to see if it works for you or not.

I'd be pretty nervous to have someone move a vertebra in my SPINE!

I think I'll ask around. I also feel going to my ART guy would be overkill - there's always the hour drive there, too.
Message therapist should be able to do this. I am interested. Cost will be the ONLY factor.
